Making money online with vacation affiliates

March 2, 2008

So you are looking for a way to make money online? On of the easiest ways to do so is with an affiliate program. However, programs such as amazon sell cheap products, thus your commission is very low. What you need is something more expensive, say thousands of dollars. What you need is to sign up as an affiliate to any number of travel agencies, and sell Caribbean vacations! We are going to achieve this by making a highly website with high targeted keywords, and redirect them right to the affiliate of your choice.

First things first, sign up with a decent affiliate, you can find a good list here:

You will need to find some cheap hosting, and install a wordpress blog. Register a keyword rich domain, something like find-caribbean-vacations.com will do nicely. Make it flashy, but keep it neat and professional. You can find plenty of tropical wordpress themes for free online, which will save you a good deal of time. Now create some keyword rich articles and post them on your blog. Make sure they are informative, and worth reading. They can be about anything, from why you would want to take a Caribbean vacation, planning one, or what to bring when packing. Take a few keywords in the article, and link them to your affiliate, using the link they provide to you. Be sure to use this one, if you don’t you will not receive your commission! Remember the entire goal is to get them interested enough to click on your affiliate link, and make a purchase.

Now that your website is done, that is only half the battle. We want to get some good rankings in the search engine, that way when someone searches for something like “booking Caribbean vacations online” yours comes up first. The more links you have going to your site, the more important search engines regard your site as, and the higher you are in their results. Search for some free directories online, there are thousands you can submit your site to. You can also submit the articles to social bookmarking sites such as Digg or Redit. The traditional way to do it is finding sites similar to your own, and sending them an email asking if they would like to exchange links. Whatever you do take a few minutes out of your day every day and keep building! After all, you could be making hundreds of dollars per every sale you make.
