March 7, 2008
Successful men and women are big dreamers, they envision of what their future would be, ideal in every respect, working and acting continuously towards their vision, that goal and purpose.
At present, the internet has offered a lot of ways and approach in increasing profits without having the need to invest a sum of money. One doesn’t need to be a computer savvy, techie, an expert or specialist just to be rich online. Even people at an early age can make it big and retire young and rich.
Recent lists of 10 top web entrepreneurs under 30 who made mark and gained vast revenues were featured. Topping the rank is Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook with $700 million, Blake Ross and David Hyatt from Mozilla with $120 million and Chad Hurley from Youtube with 85 million.
Bagging the number one list of top entrepreneurs,Mark Zuckerberg had created Facebook intended as a way of communicating and connecting with friends and schoolmates. In the intervening years, he’d earned $37.7 million from venture capitalists and transformed the Web site into a big phenomenon. In mid-2006, about 7 million users, mostly college students, had a Facebook account. Today, Zuckerberg, 23, could be the nation’s richest man under 25, with a net worth estimated at $1.5 billion.
Facebook is deemed as the most buzzed-about company and one of the most significant milestones in the technology industry in this decade. At present, Facebook is signing up nearly 1 million new users. According to venture capitalists if in the case Facebook were to go public today, investors would value this great innovation at more than $5 billion and at a much higher cost, five notches up of what Yahoo had been planning to pay.
Wordpress creator Matt Mullenweg on the other hand is considered one of the top web entrepreneurs today. He is the founding developer of the very prominent open-source blogging software called WordPress. Mullenweg has focused majority of his time in developing open source projects and founded Automattic, the business behind WordPress.com and Akismet. WordPress 1. 5 was released in February 2005 which had over 900,000 downloads. The launch introduced their theme system, moderation features, and a new front end and back end redesign.
The Mozilla Firefox made these two very young software developers into most prominent young adults of their generation. Blake Ross and David Hyatt generated a smaller and easy to use browser that later gave rise to today’s famous Firefox. The open source project gained popularity. In 2003 all of Mozilla’s resources were then devoted to the Firefox and Thunderbird projects. It was launched in November 2004 grabbing market share primarily from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, with 100 million downloads in less than a year.
