Web site is made with plethora of programming language. Starting right from the basic HTML, DHTML, CSS to PHP and even further CGI and Perl. Programmers can use all these language to build a ground breaking application for the web. Though you donít need all the language to build a single site but learning basics of each of the language can surely help you in your web endeavor. Here we focus of top 10 easiest language used in web industry and how they can be useful to you.

PHP

This is the most common language used for web programming as it can run on almost every server with minimal configuration. Basically designed for Linux server with Apache, it can also run on windows server too. Being a open source programming language it gives high ability to developers to design any sort of program using it.

C#

It is developed by Microsoft as part of .Net initiative. Inspired by C and C++ is highly similar to Java. It is mostly useful to those developers who are dependent on Microsoft for most of their programming work.

Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)

Technically, Ajax is not a programming language though it is capable of doing high end works on the client side which is not possible in doing with normal languages like PHP. Ajax uses XHTML and JavaScript to create interactive web application. The latest web 2.0 trends are highly affected by Ajax and most of web’s latest innovations like Gmail, Google reader and other interactive applications are developed in Ajax.

JavaScript

JavaScript is not what JAVA stands for. It is a object oriented programming languages that run on client side. It is easier than JAVA, has simplified set of rules, easier to code and required no complier. It is highly used on million of web pages to validate forms and detect other browser options.

Perl

Perl is an open source, cross platform compatible, server side programming languages highly used to process text on CGI programs. It was the first programming language used to build high end interactive web site, it can be used to do range of task on a web browser.

C

A standard, general purpose programming language used to create many other languages such as C++ and C#. This language has been a inspiration for many other new language. It is should be learnt because it helps a user to jump on other language very easily.

Ruby on Rails

Ruby on Rails is a dynamic, object-oriented, open-source programming language. It runs on open source Web application framework called Ruby that is based on MVC architecture. It is highly focused on simplicity and lets the computer do majority of work. It has been created only few years ago but has spread like wildfire.

Java

An object-oriented programming language developed by James Gosling and colleagues at Sun Microsystems in the early 1990s. It has one of the most beautiful coding structures in industries and is highly non-Net focused. You should learn this language if you hate Microsoft programs and there language.

Python

An interpreted, dynamically object-oriented, open-source programming that uses automatic memory management. You should learn it because it is highly readable and minimalist in language. Is has been highly used by Google as its main programming language

VB.Net (Visual Basic .Net)

It is an object-oriented language implemented on Microsoft’s .Net framework. It is one of the major languages learnt by professional in Microsoft dominant world. It is being in used in places where all the work is.
